#551 - A Friend Broke a Promise to Always Be There
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, a friend of mine promised they would always be there for me. We shared much together. However, I've lost touch with them. I have no idea what is going on in their life. Why weren't they faithful to their promise? Father, there are two things true about the future of those of us who have surrendered our lives to You. 1. You have plans to transform our character. 2. You have plans to use us in ministry, to serve the advancement of Your Kingdom. This means that change is a certainty in a believer's life. We often make promises to friends forgetting that You are changing all of our lives. May we always condition a promise on whether it is in Your will. May we always understand that You transform people and lead them on journeys that take them away from where they are today. Who are the people who walk with us down any path You send us? Our family. Father, may I deeply love the friends who are in my life for a season. May they be forever blessed to have known me during the time we were together. However, may I also understand that it is my family alone who I can guarantee a forever to. Amen.
