#713 - My Relationship with My Neighbors
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, I'm having difficulties with my neighbors. One family doesn't take care of their property and it decreases the market value of my house. Another family has domestic violence issues, often visited by the police. Another family has wild parties that keep us up all night. Guests of their parties damage our property. Another family is continuously asking us for help and handouts, long ago having crossed over the boundary line. Another family likes to flaunt their wealth, doing everything they can to make the rest of us on the street feel inferior. Another family lets their dogs relieve themselves on our lawn. My next-door neighbors? They have threatened to kill my kids if they walk onto their property. Father, this is the neighborhood I live in. It is also the mission field You have given to me. You put me in this neighborhood. It was not an accident. I have a purpose here. I have a ministry. Father, I confess my sin to You and I surrender to Your authority. Transform my heart and mind so that I can have the fruits of the Spirit. I need to have love, compassion, generosity, and mercy for my neighbors. I need to be a man or woman of peace. I need to persevere. I need to have unconditional love. Father, there are lives on this street that You intend for me to minister to. Make that happen. Use me. If I have a broken relationship with a neighbor on this street, help me to ask for forgiveness of them. Help me to show them the remarkable love of Christ. Father, this is my mission field. Thank You. Amen.
