#478 - Someone is out to Discredit Me
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor
Dear Father, someone is out to discredit me. They are searching my life for failures. They are searching my character for weaknesses. They are shouting what they find from the rooftops (or social media posts). Perhaps they have evidence that my character is malicious and evil. They are warning others to stay clear of my evil heart. If that is the case, please forgive me of my evil. Transform my heart and make it a heart of love. They may be discrediting me because that is how they are handling a hurt I caused them. Father, did I really hurt them? I ask for forgiveness. Help me to ask the person for forgiveness and may they respond by stopping the slander. Father, maybe I did them no wrong but they feel somehow threatened by me. They are not trusting You, worried that I am powerful enough to bring disaster to their life. They may be intimidated. They discredit me to bring me down to a size they can manage. They may be jealous, wishing they had the blessings You have given me. Their acts of slander are intended to take away from me the blessings You have given me. Whatever the case may be, I ask that they stop discrediting my name. May they see my transformed heart and how I am loving, joyful, peaceful, self-controlled, full of integrity, patient, kind, compassionate, generous, gracious, and merciful. May they tell others of the work You have done in my heart so that others may want such a transformation for themselves. Amen.
