#561 - We Had a Miscarriage - Part 2
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor
We Had a Miscarriage - Part 2 Dear Father, even though we humans look every day at the sun, the moon, the stars, the mountains, the rivers, and the ocean, we tend to forget all about You. We go about our daily activities expecting that what we want we will get. We assume things will always go well. We assume our paths will be clear. We assume we will not stumble. We assume this and we assume that. We assume here and we assume there. We assume today and we assume tomorrow. We make plans and we expect those plans to be realized. I will go to a place tomorrow and do what I have planned to do. I take everything for granted; meaning everything, in my mind, is pre-approved by You. I assume You have set in motion some system or process that if I want it, I'll get it. Father, we disrespect You when we assume about our tomorrows. We are denying Your authority and sovereignty, giving ourselves too much importance and power. When we assume, we are rendering You as detached from humanity. The loss of the baby in my womb was a wake-up call to me. I have been assuming my life would go the way I wanted it to go. You got my attention and the attention of my family and friends. All of us now understand the reality that things in life do not always go the way we want them to go. Father, please help me to heal from the loss of the dear little one. Please help me process my grief and then emotionally recover. Please help me to be able to get pregnant again and that the next pregnancy will result in the birth of a healthy baby. Please help me to live my life from this point forward never assuming anything, surrendering to the truth that You are the God who can do whatever You want in our lives. Our lives are Yours. Amen.
