#577 - Being Permanently Single
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, I believe it is Your will for me to remain single. How do I know that? I have confessed my rebellion to You. I have repented and surrendered to Your will. The Holy Spirit has been transforming my mind and soul. I have discovered I feel quite complete in my relationship with You. I don't feel a void in my life without a human partner. My prayer life, study of Your Word, and service to others in Your name satisfies my desire for relationships. In addition, I prefer to spend time alone. In fact, I'm quite content by myself. Finally, I have no struggle with lust and I have no interest in romance or intimate affection. Father, I pray that You will continue to meet all my needs for relationship with someone special. There is no one more special than You. Give me Your presence when I have moments of loneliness. Give me value and worth when the world tells me I am lacking value without a mate. Give me security by knowing the God of the universe will meet my every need and watch over me continuously. Father, thank You for my gift of singleness. May I touch others by the strength of character it gives me. Amen.
