#639 - I'm Receiving Praise and Compliments
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, I am receiving praise and compliments. This is a spiritual test of my walk with You. - Do I allow praise and compliments to increase my pride and build my ego? Do I take credit for what You have done in my life? Do I feign humility by rejecting the praise, contradicting and disputing them, giving them back to the people who gave them to me? - Do I give You glory and honor, telling everyone that it was Your working in my life that caused me to behave in a praiseworthy manner? Father, receiving praise and compliments is an opportunity to praise and glorify You. I can redirect people's focus to where the true praise belongs. Father, if You have done amazing work in my life, transforming my heart and mind, and people compliment me for that transformation, I need to give credit to You. When people know that You brought about the profound change in my heart, they can know the same is possible for them. Father, don't let me take credit for Your work. Don't let me deny the praiseworthy things You have done in my life. May every praise and compliment I receive be given to You for Your honor. Amen.
