#659 - I Am an Enabler
Volume 2 - Prayers to Love Our Neighbor

Dear Father, You want two things for my loved one who is a believer in Jesus Christ. You want them to love You with all their heart, soul, and mind and to love their neighbors. If I do not challenge my brother and sister in Christ to love You and others, I am enabling their backsliding from You. - If they walk apart from God and I ignore it, I am enabling them. - If they speak foolishly against You and I don't lovingly confront them, I am enabling them. - If they are bitter or unloving towards other people and I don't challenge them, I am enabling them. - If they are trying to be their own god and I feed in to that, I am enabling them. - If they doubt Your character and I don't praise Your character, I am enabling them. - If they complain and whine about their situation and I don't exhort them to be thankful and grateful, I am enabling them. - If they worship other things more than You and I don't point out their idolatry, I am enabling them. Father, forgive me for enabling my brothers and sisters in Christ to walk apart from You. Shyness is not excuse. A desire to be nice is no excuse. The fear of confrontation is no excuse. For it is You who matters more than anything else. If I allow someone to slight who You are, I am essentially doing that to You myself. Father, if I allow someone to walk away from You, I am giving myself permission to do that too. Forgive me. May I set a high standard for myself and other professed believers in Jesus Christ. Amen.
